Devblog #5 - Change of Plan

In the past few days I did a lot of polish work and tidying of things. I decided on a theme for things and how I wanted the world to look, and got that textured and modelled out. Got a gritty/blood look for the world and the mech(need to polish up the mech still). Also managed to find a player model online along with a gun, and just modelled the shield myself. It came with some animations but I had to do some additional animation for the shooting and blocking, and then had to set up a blend tree for the movement animations along with layering so the player can move and shoot.

After a bit of testing and playing around with it, I decided to do away with melee attacks for both the player and the boss. I found that it didn't contribute much to the game and instead added unneeded clutter and made the game slower and more sluggish.  With that gone I did a bit of rebalancing regarding player attacks and the enemy's attack pattern to better fit a ranged only play style. I was also able to transfer the dash control to also be on right click so its more easily accessed. The dash was also changed after player feedback to be based on what direction the player is moving in to avoid having to flick your mouse around anytime you wanted to dodge an attack.
